The Closing Ceremony of the 4th IRI International Post-Doctoral Fellowship Workshop
On June 27, 2024, the closing ceremony of the fourth IRI International Post-Doctoral Fellowship Workshop took place at Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus, International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad.
Mr. Soofi delivered a detailed and insightful presentation on the “Quranic Covenants.” His lecture covered various covenants detailed in the Quran, touching on their relevance to individuals, societies, states, and international relations. The presentation captivated the workshop participants by highlighting new avenues for research and contemporary contextualization of the Quran. Mr. Soofi’s discussion demonstrated that the Quran remains a living document, rich with applicable teachings for modern times.
Following the presentation, a lively debate ensued, with participants engaging in thoughtful questions about the contemporary understanding and applied nature of Quranic verses.
