Special Extension Lecture on “Quranic Covenants” – IRI International Postdoc Workshop
Mr. Ahmer Bilal Soofi, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, delivered a Special Extension Lecture on “Quranic Covenants” during the 4th and final Workshop of the IRI International Postdoctoral Fellowship. In his keynote address, Mr. Soofi highlighted the various types of covenants found in the Quran. He emphasized the need not only to understand these covenants but also to implement them in our lives. He stressed that fulfilling our responsibilities requires full compliance with the covenants we hold with Allah Almighty, society, and our fellow citizens. Mr. Soofi also addressed various questions from the Fellows, providing insightful responses. His thoughts on the Quranic Covenants reflect new contemporary dimensions of understanding the Quran from a legal perspective.
